Vocabulary :
Geodes: Geodes are rock cavities of varying size. Clusters of protruding crystals have formed on the walls of geodes. These are often made of quartz: amethyst, celestite, citrine, or rock crystal.
Druses: Druses are a natural assemblage of crystals. Rather flat, druses can take on different shapes: oval, pointed, slightly rounded... They are different from geodes which are more round in shape, with a cavity inside.
Fossils: Whether you're a paleontology enthusiast, a mineralogy enthusiast, or a curious amateur, dive into the history of our planet by acquiring quality fossils. Our products are carefully selected to satisfy all levels of expertise.
Meteorites: There is no evidence that some of these could be primary interplanetary material. Rather, meteorites are generally thought to be fragments released by impacts between larger bodies: asteroids (some even appear, without doubt, to result from violent impacts on the Moon and Mars) or released by gravitational disintegration of comets as they pass near the Sun.
However, the presence in the matrices of some of the meteorites, for example of isotopic anomalies, or even of nanograins whose ages predate the Solar System by a few Ma to several Ga, depending on the objects, show that the material which contains them has not been altered or metamorphosed in any way during its inclusion and subsequent extraction in a parent body.
