Little story / peculiarity
Azurite has been used since ancient times as a blue pigment in paintings and frescoes. Its name comes from the Persian lazhward ("blue"). It is valued in lithotherapy for its ability to awaken consciousness and stimulate clairvoyance. Often associated with malachite, it forms highly decorative blue-green veins.
