A real conch shell, beautifully painted, with rich decoration in colored metal and stones. The conch shell plays an important role in Tibetan Buddhism, Hinduism, and Feng Shui (the latter being the guideline for organizing and equipping a harmonious home or workplace).

Please note: This is a natural product, variations in size and color are normal, as are "imperfections" on the edges and surface.

Feng Shui: The conch plays an important role in Feng Shui, as it is believed to bring great benefits. It gives a sense of peace and comfort inside the home and also functions as a protection.

According to Feng Shui: placing a conch shell in the south corner of the living room increases the owner's popularity and reputation; placing a smooth conch shell in the kitchen creates harmonious and family-oriented energy; keeping pointed conch shells on the windowsill attracts energy that protects the house from bad luck and damage; keeping a basket full of conch shells on a table near the front door brings about a satisfying and successful career.

Tibetan Buddhism: The conch shell is commonly used to 'evoke religious assemblies'. It is also used to hold 'holy water' and as a musical instrument in pujas and ceremonies.

What is a puja?

Puja (literally offering) is a ritual meditation dedicated to Buddha or a Bodhisattva.

It is a ceremony where prayers are offered to the Buddha to ask for their blessings or invoke their help.

You can dedicate a puja for meditation practice, purification, removal of obstacles, for long life, in case of death, illness, for business and so on.

Pujas are performed to prevent and remove the three types of obstacles, the conditions that prevent us from achieving our worldly and spiritual goals.

India - Hinduism: The conch is used to ward off evil spirits and prevent natural disasters. Some use it to "scare away poisonous creatures."

And, as explained above, the conch is also used during pujas.
