👉 Yellow kunzite is a rare variety of kunzite, which itself is a form of spodumene, a mineral in the silicate family. In general, kunzite is best known for its pink to purple colors, due to the presence of manganese. When yellow, it is an even rarer form, sometimes called triphane (the name often given to colorless or yellow spodumenes).
